		<description>Anyone remember Ford and the Pinto. This sounds very similar. Ford calculated the estimated loss due to punctured fuel tanks of the Pinto and decided that the financial losses would be less than a recall.
Did Toyota perform a similar risk calculation? I don&#039;t know, but I hope the truth comes out - either for the better or worse for Toyota.</description>
